Aren’t we getting tired of short sales?
Misleading prices…extremely long response periods from lenders…the necessity for way to many follow up phone calls-from buyer’s agent to listing agent and from listing agent to lender…buyers walking away from offers because they have (pick one) 1. bought another property, 2. got tired of waiting for a response, 3. failed to qualify for financing, 4. revised their opinon of the value of the property and now will not pay the originally offered amount, 5. (fill in your favorite)…lenders foreclosing before they respond to the short sale offer that is on the table.
We have come to a place in the real estate business where the most glowing attribute of a property is that it is not a short sale. As in…” 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, bank-owned, not a short sale”.
We are living in historic times. The sooner ’short sale’ is consigned to history, the better. (Does anyone recall the ‘all inclusive deed of trust’?).
But that is the market in which we find ourselves today. If you want to talk about short sales or look at short sales in Fremont, Union City, Newark, Hayward, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Pleasanton, Livermore, San Ramon, Dublin or anywhere nearby…get in touch with me. I would be happy to help you.
I don’t just talk about short sales…I help my clients with them. Besides, this post allowed me to work the word ‘banality‘ in. I don’t use that one very much.
